I'll just stick with the oridnary dvd. I don't own a bluray player and i won't be running out to buy one just for this.

I'd just come on to complain about the bluray/dvd options for this film, and see someone has already been posting about it I think it's mean that they're only fetching out the cool special edition metal case one, with loads of extras only out on blu-ray. Admittedly the DVD version is uncut/extended too, but it has only 1 extra on it, compared to the half dozen on the blu-ray. Couple of other films have gone this route too, so it's looking like the trend is starting where they're soon only be doing 'special' version on blu'ray for future films soon.

I hear the bluray Ghostbusters has some really good extras on as does the bluray AAWIL. Looks like DVD is fast becoming the same as VHS.

I'm very reluctant to get a blue ray player as it wasn't long ago I got my recordable DVD player and I don't want to pay out again so soon for another one.

I'm not wild about Blu-Ray either. I don't really see the point. I'm sure the visual quality blows DVD out of the water, but that's irrelevant when a movie is crap, isn't it? A crap film will stay crap in top quality, same way 'Werewolf vs the Vampire woman' will remain a cool movie (if you like Naschy ) no matter how crappy the Public Domain prints are. I still have an old Star Trek - the motion picture VHS tape which reminds me what truly terrible prints look like, so DVD will do for me. Plus, I spend a fortune on importing region 1 DVDs...I'm not replacing my perfectly acceptable 'Ghostbusters' disc if I don't have to.

Also doesn't help if you've not got a fancy smancy TV that'll play HD quality as it'll not make any difference if you've got a basic tube TV rather then LCD or Plasma.

Ahahahaha! Choke on that, cuddlewolf fans! That "stupid ugly gorilla thing" just got Rick Baker an Oscar! ... Now only if awards shows still mattered.

On another note, apparently Franco and Hathaway were eye gaugingly bad hosts. Can anyone confirm?
