Good things come to those who wait. Rise of the Lycans was a total surprise to me. I had no idea it was coming out then a couple of days before it was in theaters I saw an ad for it and made my plans for my woman and I to go.

Courtesy of Upcoming Horror Films: "The film once had a January 21st then a September 23rd 2011 theatrical release. Recent reports indicate that it will no longer be in 3D, however no official word has been released. Original writer/director Len Wiseman is said to be returning, while his wife Kate Beckinsale is still trying to get worked into the story in some capacity. John Hlavin was quoted saying the following about the project: "I can tell you it's not a prequel. It will satisfy old fans and excite new audiences, meaning that we don't want to redo the first three movies, so steps are being taken to honor what fans have loved but at the same time introduce fresh elements." Writer John Hlavin also served as writer for the FX series The Shield. Actress Kate Beckinsale was quoted saying that she'd return to the franchise with the right script. No word if any actors will be returning for the sequel. Previous director Patrick Tatopoulos will not be returning. It's rumored that this will be the start of a new trilogy of sequels. The fourth installment in the Underworld franchise."  |
