Just thought I'd start a thread on the news message Noel posted on the main part of the site, about the 100 year anniversary of werewolf films. I had no idea it'd be 100 years next month. And it's great that Noel's planning something as a celebration. It's a huge shame one of the big movie companies hadn't noticed and had lined up a new film to come out on that date  I'll have to have a werewolf film night or something. I wonder if it's possible to get a film from each decade . . . oh that'd have been a great dvd boxset to have had available as a 100 years of tooth'n'claw fun. |

The problem with only one film a decade is that The Howling and AWIL came out in the same year. |

True. . . and you don't want to substitute the howling remake for the original, cause it was terrible.

Bravo on episode 2! I have a soft spot for these old timers. I saw them all, along with many other Universal horror films, when I was a kid. These were part of the Shock package in the late 1950s. I remember well waiting up late Friday night and falling under the spell when the Shock Theater theme music would start - Mussorgsky's "Night on Bald Mountain". www.youtube.com/watch?v=iCEDfZgDPS8 |

I had to rewatch parts of episode 2 as I kept getting into the scenes and forgetting to read the captions!!
