Blade Runner 2049 (2017)
Got the 3D Blu-ray for this one recently so I set aside the three hours needed to watch it. Sequel to the 1982 classic with Ryan Gosling as a Blade Runner named 'K' - a replicant used to hunt down other replicants. Not bad. Looks great. Totally unnecessary but when has that stopped Hollywood. Harrison Ford returns as Rick Deckard.
House of Wax (1953)
Another 3D feature. The Vincent Price classic. Great looking as a 3D movie - particularly interesting since the director actually only had one eye. Also stars Morticia Addams herself, Carolyn Jones, in a small part, as well as some dude named Charles Bronson.
Swim (2022)
A "Tubi Original" shark movie. Wasn't sure what to expect, quality-wise, but then "The Asylum Presents" came up on screen and I knew. I watched it anyway. A family gets trapped in a flooded vacation rental during a storm, which would be annoying enough even without the shark that has come inside with them. One of those movies with a much bigger movie going on off screen, as the beach house, built on stilts and at least two stories tall not including the attic gets flooded all the way to the roof. That's a heck of a storm surge that probably wiped out that entire coastal area.
Typical Asylum fare with actors fighting awkward dialog as much as the shark. Unfortunately without the humor (intentional or not) of some of their wilder shark movies.
The Invisible Woman (1940)
A departure for the 'Invisible' series in more ways than one. There are no members of the Griffin family involved and it goes straight into comedy territory right from the start.
Virginia Bruce stars as a model volunteering for the invisibility process mainly to get back at her overbearing boss. Along the way there are gangsters after the formula. Shemp Howard is one of the thugs. Fun movie.
And of course on Friday the 13th I had a few of those flicks running in the background during the day -
Friday the 13th (1980) Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981) Freddy vs. Jason (2003)
and the remake/reboot/sequel/whatever - Friday the 13th (2009)
Still my favorite slasher series.

Sounds like The Asylum's answer to Alexandre Aja's Crawl, with a shark. Pretty much. Or Bait, the shark-in-a-grocery-store movie.

Satanic Panic (2019)
My Shudder subscription is almost up so I figured I'd get this one in, especially after seeing the screenplay was by Grady Hendrix. I've been binging his books lately. So far I've finished off We Sold Our Souls, The Final Girl Support Group, and My Best Friend's Exorcism. Horrorstör is next.
Anyway, the movie is a horror/comedy about a pizza delivery person who winds up the guest of honor at a Satanic sacrifice. Pretty fun, with blood.
Reminiscence (2021)
New one on HBO Max (my sub to that will be running out soon, too). Basically an old-school noir film given a sci-fi coat of paint. Okay, but starts dragging. Another two-hour movie that could probably lose 15 or 20 minutes with no trouble.

Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) With the hype over the preview for the new Spider-Man movie, I went back to this one (mainly because I was too lazy to pull out my Blu of Raimi's Spider-Man 2). Creature Cabin (2017) (aka Tarnation) Low-budget Australian flick with a cabin in the woods, demonic unicorn, undead boxing kangaroo, and also some weird stuff. Definitely flavored by the wackier Evil Dead stuff. Preview here: youtu.be/gWc-RZk2_6cStreaming on Amazon Prime and free on Tubi Space Thing (1968) *Really* low-budget late-sixties nudie sci-fi streaming on Tubi.
