RIPLEY on Netflix (2024)
Very different take on Patricia Highsmith's novel, setting itself apart from the 1999 Minghella splashy adaptation and the arsty Purple Noon.
The same director also co-wrote/directed HBO's The Night Of.
If you haven't seen either one, I highly recommend both.
The Conference (2023)
A Swedish workplace slasher, kinda goofy but also delivers the gore and brutal kills.
Also streaming on Netflix.

Well, the computer died on Monday and after having no idea how to fix it for a week, I spent money I didn't have on a new one.
For now, my movie list is still on the old one so I might be missing one or two...
Argylle (2024)
Finally available to stream on Apple TV. I don't know what people's problems were with it. It was pretty much exactly what I expected and I enjoyed it.
The Raid: Redemption (2012)
It's been on my "to be watched" list for a while and Tubi said it was leaving soon. Just some amazing fight choreography - the stunt guys and the camera work. Top-notch stuff.
The Six Million Dollar Man/The Bionic Woman: The Return of Bigfoot (1976)
Had an itch for my bionic shows again so I popped in the Blu-ray of this team-up.

The Mutations (1974)
The Blood Beast Terror (1968)
The Gorgon (1964)
Alien: The Director's Cut (2003)
Aliens: Special edition (1986)
Last Night With the Devil (2023)
This one was interesting and I loved the 70's vibe.
Destroy All Neighbors (2024)
Couldn't finish this one, tapped out nearly an hour in.
Awful, simply Awful.
The Vigil (2019)
Forbidden Planet (1956)

Been spending most of my time getting the new computer situated...
Predator 2 (1990)
I know it was ALIEN Day and all but since I just watched all of those films not long ago I went for this one that I hadn't seen in a while. Still enjoy it.

TNT Jackson (1974)
Classic (?) mix of kung-fu and blaxploitation. I watched my old DVD but better-quality copies are streaming free on the likes of Tubi and Shout TV.
The Last Man on Earth (1964)
The Vincent Price version of Richard Matheson's "I Am Legend." Still need to catch The Omega Man someday to see how that one handled the story.
The Flood (2023)
Cops, prisoners, and bad guys wanting to break a prisoner out are all trapped by CGI alligators during a hurricane. Not really sure why I was expecting this to be better. On Hulu.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015)
My Star Wars Day viewing. I'm saving the real STAR WARS for the 25th.
The Fall Guy (2024)
The weather cleared enough on Sunday so I made the trek for this one. Definitely enjoyed it, especially when it started out cranking a KISS tune. Particularly enjoyed the small cheer I heard from an audience member when the Lee Majors cameo finally arrived.
The Meg (2018)
Listened to the audiobook at work last week so I gave this one another spin.

This one is a doozy, highly recommend it.
Limited Series
Currently on Netflix

Mad Max: Fury Road (2015)
Since I might be able to check out Furiosa when it starts next week...
Lovely, Dark, and Deep (2024)
A park ranger takes a deep woods assignment to search the area where her sister disappeared when they were kids. Plays with the "people disappear in national parks" idea but does so in a meandering way that doesn't really wrap up anything but the forest is just gorgeous. I wouldn't mind disappearing there. (apparently filmed in Portugal) On Tubi.
Scream (1996)
Went old school with the original. Still a fun movie. Knowing me I'll end up working thru the rest of the series in the next few weeks.
The Panther Squad (1984)
Another "well, what's on Tubi?" movie. Sybil Danning leads an all-female team (or squad, I guess) to rescue an astronaut being held hostage by an organization that wants to stop all space exploration. Notable pretty much only for the leather outfit Danning wears thru most of the film, which she kept according to the IMDb trivia page.

Scream 2 (1997) Scream 3 (2000) Scream 4 (2011)
I said I'd probably watch them all again, right? It's been long enough that I didn't remember the big reveals of the killer's identities and it was fun seeing all the people who either were popular at the time or who I recognize for stuff they've done since. I'll try and squeeze in the last two this coming weekend, I suppose.
Star Wars (1977)
While I'm all for the "May the 4th Be With You" celebrations, I try and save the original for the *real* STAR WARS Day, the anniversary of its release on May 25th. And as usual, I stick with the 4K77 scan of the original, unaltered film.
Madame Web (2024)
I don't know anything about the comic characters so it didn't bother me in that respect. I didn't hate it like so many seem to, but it was pretty blah, like Sony's other "Spider-Man movies that don't have Spider-Man in them."

Scream (2022) Scream VI (2023)
Like I figured. Overall, a pretty enjoyable series, and it was nice watching them close together while the various connections were still fresh in my mind.
Jurassic World (2015)
Netflix recently added a new Jurassic World animated series (Chaos Theory) which reminded me that I'd never watched the last one (Camp Cretaceous) so I've been burning thru that. Since the first season takes place right before, during, and after the movie I figured I'd throw it in, too.
Also finished off Star Trek: Discovery.
