"Werewolf of Fever Swamp" sounds like a really cool 70s drive-in horror.

If it was, I could just picture a scene, in back and white, of a young couple sat in a convertable by the edge of a swamp/marsh in their towns verison of "lovers lane". When from the bushes behind them, you see the werewolf's arm reach out to the back of the car.

"Werewolf of Fever Swamp" is one of RL Stine's Goosebumps books. It's a series of horror books for older elementary school kids. There're a lot of them, as well as a number of spin-offs (like "Choose Your Own Adventure"-type stories and such) and a TV series. Stine was a pretty popular author when I was a kid. The werewolf story was about a kid whose family moved to a new town right by Fever Swamp. The kid became friends with a neighbor kid named Will, and also had a wolf dog as a pet. Anyway, some stuff happens, and the kid finds that there's a ferocious werewolf living in the forest around the swamp. He and Will go looking for it, but then he finds out Will is the werewolf and ends up slaying him with the help of his dog. Then he investigates Will's house, which is cobweb-ridden and unoccupied, so apparently he didn't live there. Then the kid becomes a werewolf and runs around at night with the dog, so apparently he's a much never werewolf than Will.

Oh right. I was in my late teens when the goosebumps series first came out and had moved on to more grown up books such as Stephen King, Graham Masterton, James Herbert and Harryb Potter!!!
The Point Horror Series was all the rage when i was young.

I must admit although i've loved Werewolf films for best part of 20 years I only saw the Howling last year, great film. Got addicted to the series (I know most of the others were far from up to par), personally I like number 7 because it has nothing to do with anything....stange but true.

Very good question! The Ozzy who ends up in an American town "Looking for Work!!!" ends up he is looking for a Werewolf. Its a rubbish WW film but as an amature piece of film making I like it....feel guilty about this but you like what you like! Just to regain some cred Dog soldiers is such a top film, so good I knicked it from my ex!!!!

Yep thats the one. I must admit i've always been a fan of American WW in London rather than the Howling, think its because its the first one I remember seeing.
