So other than the original, which one(s) are actually decent? I'm at a disadvantage cos the only one i've seen other than the original was The Freaks. I was late night tv surfing and came across it. They're never on at a reasonable time!

Well, I liked the last ten minutes of "The Howling IV" ... some interesting special effects there. And I hear "The Howling V" is okay-ish.

I know i should make the effort to watch them but there's just seems so many to catch upi with. Plus the only one they ever seem to show is The Freaks so i'd have to buy them. Checked library, they haven't got them.

Other than the first movie ive seen. Howling 3 the marsupials: Its so bad its good. and i laughed through the whole thing. Howling 4 the original nightmare: the story is based on the same book as the first one. Its pretty good. the special effects are not that many, but they are very good looking. Howling 6 the freaks: Not very good. Looks more like a jekyll and hyde movie than a werewolf movie.

I've seen all of them, though I fast-forwarded through "The Rebirth" because I wanted to see if there was a transformation scene. This was, like, seven years ago. Now I want to see it again, because it seems like it might be decent. I watched "Howling 3" on TV back when TNT had "MonsterVision", hosted by Joe Bob Briggs. His commentary on the movies before and after commercials was great. After the scene where the girl shows the main guy their baby in her pouch, Joe Bob said: "How 'bout that scene where she shows Donnie the little slime creature. What does he say about it? 'It's Beautiful.' It's not beautiful! It looks like Yoda!" Classic. I wish I hadn't recorded over it

Howling 1=Respect Howling 2=So so film that its only saved by the performance of cristofer lee. Howling 3=Not so good. Howling 4=I liked it,its similar to the first howling. Howling 5=My personal favorite, not for the effects but mostly for the atmosphere (there are many script mistakes but if you ignore them the movie rules!) Howling 6=Not very good Howling 7=I thought it was the worst but....... Howling 8=The king of the worst werewolf movies ever, watch it only if you want to laugh.

Its from "Dark vision" collection, the exact name is "howling 8:the resurrection".I found it in a store here in athens. The thing is that it only has german audio and thats a bit weird.I personally think its just a rip off using the name of the howling series but i cant be sure.

Definately not an "official" Howling movie Hmmm....looks around..... This it? www.imdb.com/title/tt0242911/#commentAnyway...I'm pretty sure I gave my rundown of the Howling series here before somewhere, but what the heck: Howling 1 - the original, the best, the movie by which all other werewolf films are judged (at least by me) Howling 2: Your Sister Is A Werewolf (or 'Stirba - Werewolf Bitch) - It's got Sybil Danning and Christopher Lee in it and it still sucks. Amazing. But dang...Sybil Danning as Stirba...(insert Homer Simpson drool here) Howling 3: The Marsupials - Definately different. If you can wrap your head around what they were going for, it can be pretty fun. Listen to the commentary on the DVD. Imogen Annesley is gorgeous. And how many times have you ever seen a werewolf win an Oscar? Howling 4: The Original Nightmare - Another filming of the original novel, slightly more accurate. Which goes to prove there have been times when the movie was better than the book. (Just for the record, "Eddie and the Cruisers" was another one.) Notable for future Pretender star Michael T. Weiss. Howling 5: The Rebirth - Ten Little Indians done with werewolves in a Romanian castle. Not great but actually not too bad. Hello MaryLou. Howling 6: The Freaks - Werewolf vs. Vampire. I liked this one okay. Brendan Hughes is the werewolf. Bruce Payne is the vampire. Hughes played a vampire in the 'To Die For' films and Payne played a werewolf in 'Full Eclipse.' Thought that was neat. And Huggy Bear bites the heads off of chickens, so it's got that gong for it. Howling: New Moon Rising or Howling 7: Mystery Woman - Main mystery is what the heck were they thinking?? Really...for all of you who think Dark Wolf is the worst werewolf movie ever - watch this. You'll be wishing for Dark Wolf within twenty minutes. I'm enough of a timeline/continuity buff that I love the idea of tying the last few films together but the way they do it here you almost wonder if they even watched the last few. And since writer/director/actor/producer/editor Clive Turner actually was involved in the last few films it's an even bigger mystery. How I'd rank them in order: 1 3 5 6 2 4 7 Yeah, I'm big on the Howling movies. Whatever became of the new films that caused Dead Dog to change their comic series from "Howling" to "Curse of the Blood Clan"?

I've only seen the first one...that is...the first 50 minutes, that's where my VHS tape stoped when I recorded it. All the more reason to release this boxset I dreamed up!

Yep thats it "the strangers".Now i see it,it is written with small letters in the back of the dvd case.In the front of course it says howling 8.Total rip off.I wasted 5euros. . I liked howling 2 more than 3 mostly because cristofer lee was playing in it and also for the ending credits( )

Yeah...Chris Lee is always great. As is Sybil Danning...grrr...stampa...stampa....
I like the story Joe Dante told in his commentary on "The Howling" about how when he worked with him later on "Gremlins 2," Chris Lee apologized to him for doing "Howling 2."
