Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (2014)
More overly dramatic, ultra-pulpy goodness from Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez. Most of the cast from the original return joining personal fave Eva Green, perfectly cast as the titular 'Dame to Kill For.' Looks good in 3D.
The Thing From Another World (1951)
The original classic. Gotta love the 'oldies.'
Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018)
Finally finished my 3D of the current crop of Star Wars movies (and then heard that the upcoming one I was actually excited for, the Rogue Squadron movie, has been pulled from the schedule). Solo had the usual problems that prequels have, but I enjoyed it and still think the biggest reason it faced so much criticism is that it followed 'The Last Jedi' and some people were still salty over that.
Ghostbusters: Answer the Call (2016)
Another cheap 3D Blu-ray. Only nodded off for a couple of minutes this time around. I did like the way the disc handled the 3D, with some of the effects actually seeming to pop out of the screen by bleeding over into the black bars at the top and bottom. And still really like Kate McKinnon's Holtzmann.
Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979)
The latest restoration/completion of the film, streaming on Paramount+. Still a fairly drab film (seriously, who thought those uniforms were a good idea?) but now a good-looking drab film.
Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (1982)
Ah, now *this* is Star Trek. Is it seriously not streaming on Paramount+ alongside all the rest of the Trek stuff? Good thing I have it on DVD.
Star Trek III: The Search for Spock (1984)
Okay, I may be in the middle of a Trek phase. I also recently played thru Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force and am working on Elite Force II now. According to the trivia section at IMDb (always 100% correct, I'm sure) this movie was almost 3D but Paramount decided to use it on Friday the 13th Part 3 instead.
Dog Soldiers (2002)
Oh, yeah. This *is* a werewolf forum, isn't it? Naturally, I had to pick up the new version from Shout! Factory.
Top Gun: Maverick (2022)
It was payday and I couldn't find anything I felt like watching already streaming so I went ahead and ponied up for this. It was actually pretty good.

X (2022)
From IMDb: "In 1979, a group of young filmmakers set out to make an adult film in rural Texas, but when their reclusive, elderly hosts catch them in the act, the cast find themselves fighting for their lives."
I liked this one well enough I'll probably watch the prequel that recently came out and the sequel if it shows up.
Monstrous (2022)
From IMDb: "Story centers on a traumatized woman fleeing from her abusive ex-husband with her 7-year-old son. In their new, remote sanctuary they find they have a bigger, more terrifying monster to deal with."
I like Christina Ricci but the movie ended up not doing much for me.
Orphan (2009)
From IMDb: "A husband and wife who recently lost their baby adopt a 9-year-old girl who is not nearly as innocent as she appears."
With Paramount+ warning me it was leaving on September 30th and the prequel recently released, I figured I'd better watch it. I really liked it and ten-year-old Isabelle Fuhrman was really good as the titular orphan, Esther.

Boo (2005)
Fairly typical "young adults poking around a haunted psych hospital on Halloween" thing but longtime favorite Dee Wallace Stone had a small role.

Run, Sweetheart, Run (2022)
New Amazon Prime movie. Ella Balinska is a lawyer's assistant who takes a client meeting for him, which turns into a date, which turns into a nightmare. Fun and bloody, with favorites Clark Gregg and Shohreh Aghdashloo in small roles.
The Car (1977)
Just about every time I look at discs I haven't watched yet, this is high on the list so I went for it. Classic about a demonic car terrorizing a small Utah town. With James Brolin and several familiar 70s faces.
Weird: The Al Yankovic Story (2022)
Roku's completely true, not at all made-up biography starring Daniel Radcliffe and Evan Rachel Wood with cameos by a lot of cool people.

Smile (2022)
New one that hit Paramount+. A curse/demon/whatever that jumps from person to person and causes mayhem. Not bad, if a bit slow in places.
Nope (2022)
Jordan Peele's new one hit Peacock streaming. Watch the skies. I liked this one, and it's always nice to see Michael Wincott and Keith David in stuff.
Dual (2022)
What's better than one Karen Gillan? Two Karen Gillans, of course. In a world where people with terminal illnesses (like Gillan's character Sarah) can get themselves cloned to carry on after their death, what happens if you have a miraculous recovery? In this case, you might have to fight your clone to the death.
Really dug the whole vibe on this one and Gillan was great as both Sarahs.
Honestly, I feel like there has to have been more since last time, but with the holidays and work and stuff I either can't remember or I've just been watching regular TV and playing games more than watching movies.
I'm about halfway thru the Wednesday series on Netflix - not married to it but I like it well enough to finish it off. Also slowly getting around to Andor on Disney+ and I'll probably check out The English on Amazon (I think). Also the latest/last season of Dead to Me on Netflix and the new season of Criminal Minds on Paramount+.

The Addams Family (2019)
Since I've been watching the Wednesday show on Netflix I decided to check out the animated Addams flicks from a few years back. One down...
Troll (2022)
New one on Netflix. Fun movie with a giant mountain troll causing mayhem in Norway. They should've called Trollhunter...
Bullet Train (2022)
Another new movie, now on Netflix. Fun, over-the-top, and quite violent, just like I like 'em. Good cast, too.
Man of Steel (2013)
Thought I'd see if I liked any better than I did back in '13. Plus I wanted to check out my 3D Blu-ray. Maybe marginally better than I thought, or I just knew what to expect this time so I wasn't as disappointed.
Wednesday (2022)
And I finished this on Netflix. Wasn't outstanding but overall I liked it. And there's a werewolf, so that always helps.

Honor Society (2022)
Angourie Rice is really good as Honor Rose, whose carefully crafted plan to get into Harvard is suddenly threatened by three other students who might get the recommendation instead of her. I liked Rice as Betty Brant in the most recent Spider-Man films and she really shines here. Gaten Matarazzo from Stranger Things plays her main competition. Fun little movie on Paramount+.
Dragon Age: Absolution (2022- )
New animated series on Netflix. I like the game series well enough and the lead character is voiced by one of my favorites, Kimberly Brooks.
Black Adam (2022)
The Rock's new not-a-superhero flick hit HBOMax. Wasn't bad.

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery (2022)
The "World's Greatest Detective," Benoit Blanc (I thought that was Batman) gets drawn into a totally Agatha Christie-like murder mystery on a private island. Pretty fun and has a cool cast. On Netflix.
EDIT: And almost forgot...
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)
Since I watched Man of Steel again I had to follow through with this one. At least Snyder's films usually look cool.
