Wasn't he in Brazil? Jonathan Pryce, I think.

I've not read or seen this movie before. I'll have to look out for it.

"The Howling" -- I like the slightly 'B' movie look. In some scenes they look parasite like. (9/10).
"Bad Moon" -- It looks a bit rodent/rat like in close up but I quite like that. (9/10).
"Cursed" -- It very occasionally looks a bit bear like (round head, half moon ears, round bear-like snout etc.) (9.5 out of ten).
"Dog Soldiers" -- A little top heavy perhaps but looks great in profile. Muscular & lean. (8.5 out of ten).
"Van Helsing" -- I thought the werewolves in Van Helsing were a great design but they looked cartoonish to me. It does not help that they are moving with the comical speed of cartoons (occasionally). (9.5 out of ten).

In no particular order: Underworld: This design gets a lot of flak from Goldenwolf purists because...well, they're Goldenwolf purists. They hate every werewolf design that's not Goldenwolf or some variation thereof. It's a inconic design that lends itself well to the atmosphere of the film series. They added more hair and longer snouts for the sequel which focused more on Selene and her bland hybrid sidekick. Meh. They were badass, they were unique, I liked them. Being Human: This is a television show, but it still has one of the best werewolf designs out there. It is, without a doubt the best werewolf on television today. That skull-like face is unique and brings plenty of character to the critters. Where other werewolf shows bore us with dressed up wolf/German Shepard mixes in shallow attempts to make their boring werewolf "heroes" more politically correct Being Human dares to not only put some effort into design their werewolf, but has the audacity to create it in three dimensions and film it. Something with Bite: Technically another television show. Fear itself was a one hour long anthology series similar to Twilight Zone or the Outer Limits, SWB was a more light hearted episode. Still, the suit was cannibalized for a television movie so I'm counting it. This is my second favorite werewolf design, period. The suit acting is superb and the animatronic mask is incredibly flexible and lifelike. It has huge freaking teeth, almost life a dire wolf and no pupils. Just solid yellow eyes. Maybe not realistic, it technically shouldn't be able to see but stylistically it's an awesome effect. The werewolf looks like it's berserk. You can find the episode on Fear.net. New Moon: Ahahaha, just joking! They suck hard. The Boy Who Cried Werewolf: Yes, I'm allowed to do that. Look at this stupid thing. Just look at it. Now I want you to imagine it tearing ass across the forest ripping scantily clad teenage bimbos to pieces. Bitch slapping the heads off of vampires, or rampaging through London as people scream and flee in mortal terror from this stupid looking bastard. Tell me that's not the funniest damn mental image you've had today. It's a wretched looking, damn goofy werewolf from a goofy movie from the seventies. It's a design hilarious in its ineptitude. I love it. The Wolfman: What is there to say? The original design was iconic. It was Lawerence Talbot transformed into a ravening beast because Lon Chaney Junior was the Wolfman. In 2004 Stephan Summers, the Uwe Boll of Universal horror films, crapped out a new design equipped with horrible CGI in an attempt to "update" the Wolfman. Despite the admiration the design received it was a failure of a Wolfman design. It didn't resemble the original design at all. It looked like someone stuck an air tube up some Deviantart anthro's butt and inflated him him until he was fifteen feet tall and bounced around like he was full of helium. In 2007 Rick Baker gave us a true Wolfman redesign. It was updated for a new millennium but was true to the original. Even better than the design of the the film was the negative reaction to it. Places like Deviantart and Fur Affinity are a cauldron of seething hatred for the design and thinly veiled contempt for the people who like it. Great success, Rick Baker. Great success. ;D Also, special shout out to Wolf. To understate the matter, the make up is minimal. Jack Nicholson however, makes it work and as the creature is more of a human possessed by a demonic wolf than a actual werewolf, I'll let it slide. Besides, where else can you see Jack Nicholson snap a deer's neck with his bare hands?

I did like how he became more and more preditory as the film progressed, showing the changes to his mind as well as his body. I would like to see such happen in other werewolf films too, where the curse/disease not just changes the person's body, but also changes the way they think and feel.

Not only was that my favorite aspect of WOLF but I thought Nicholson did an excellent job of portraying it. As good of an actor as he is, let's face it - a lot of his characters start out unhinged and just get worse instead of starting out 'normal' and actually changing.

I did like the Wolfman 2010 & as far as someone portraying a wolf in human form well Jack Nicholson was amazing....!!!
