Rick Baker is the Kang, but Rob Bottin is by no means a slouch.
The transformations in each of those two movies have a different character to them. In AWIL, the poor guy does not understand what is happening to him. In The Howling the change is intentional. One thing I like about The Howling is that you get a good long look at the full werewolf form before any transformation. These people are all inherently werewolves and can change at will, not because they got bit and the full moon affects them.

I love the dark humor, like the Big Bad Wolf cartoon on the TV and the Wolf brand chili on the sheriff's desk.
